My Mission

My mission is to transform how people experience healthcare through the lens of running. By integrating clinical care, education, research, writing, and interdisciplinary collaboration, I work to create a model that is more connected, proactive, and empowering than traditional healthcare.

I believe health and performance are built through understanding, collaboration, and access to the right information at the right time. My goal is to advance the field of running medicine, help runners build a lifelong relationship with the sport, and create a future where healthcare helps people thrive—not simply recover.

Sports Medicine Physician

Kate Mihevc Edwards is on a mission to transform how people experience healthcare through the lens of running.

As a physical therapist, running medicine specialist, educator, writer, and leader in the running community, she has dedicated her career to bridging the gaps between rehabilitation, performance, education, and long-term wellness. Her work brings together healthcare professionals, coaches, researchers, and athletes to create more connected, collaborative, and effective approaches to care.

Kate believes that runners deserve more than injury treatment—they deserve access to knowledge, support, and a healthcare experience that empowers them to make informed decisions and thrive throughout their lives. Through clinical care, consulting, speaking, writing, and interdisciplinary collaboration, she is helping redefine what running medicine can be and building a future where healthcare helps people flourish, not simply recover.
